SAE 15W-40
Diesel Engine Oil 15W-40 CK-4
The mainstream heavy duty fill for mixed on- and off-highway fleets running CK-4, with full backward compatibility to CJ-4 and CI-4 Plus.
Truck, Tractor & Earthmoving
Built for duty cycles measured in hours, not kilometres. Soot handling, TBN retention and aftertreatment compatibility are the design targets for every heavy duty grade we blend.

Why this range
Bohr Chemical heavy duty diesel engine oils cover modern API CK-4 service fills and classic monogrades for older equipment. Soot handling, base number retention and oxidation control are dosed for long haul, high-load and dusty off-road duty, so oil analysis stays inside limits across the full drain interval.
Controls viscosity rise from soot loading in EGR and high-duty-cycle diesel engines.
CK-4 chemistry keeps sulphated ash, phosphorus and sulphur within DPF and SCR limits.
Strong anti-wear films protect cams, rings and liners through sustained peak torque.

Featured grades
SAE 15W-40
The mainstream heavy duty fill for mixed on- and off-highway fleets running CK-4, with full backward compatibility to CJ-4 and CI-4 Plus.
SAE 10W-30
The fuel-economy grade of the CK-4 range: lighter cold-start viscosity and lower HTHS for line-haul fleets chasing miles per gallon.
SAE 20W-50
A specialty heavy duty fill for systems that need SAE 50 high-temperature viscosity with usable low-temperature fluidity — engines and hydrostatic drives alike.

Common questions
Yes, CK-4 is backward compatible with earlier API C-category service fills. Confirm the viscosity grade matches the engine manufacturer's recommendation.
10W-30 CK-4 gives faster cold-start oil delivery and measurable fuel-economy gains where the engine maker approves it. 15W-40 remains the safe universal fleet fill.
